Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Cats and Crows collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Cats and Crows is an acoustic folk band from North Wales. For anything about your data, email hello@catsandcrows.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us through the contact form:

  • your name and email address,
  • the type of enquiry and your message,
  • technical details sent with the form: your IP address, the page you came from and any campaign tags in the link.

We use this only to read and reply to your message. We never sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Who processes it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the contact form, and may keep short-lived security logs.
  • SMTP2GO delivers form messages to our inbox by email.
  • Microsoft 365 hosts our email.

Embedded content

Videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player. Our homepage may show our Instagram posts through Behold, which loads images from Instagram's servers. Links to Bandcamp, Spotify, Amazon Music and social networks take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and then delete them within 24 months unless we are still in touch with you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
